1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Community Let platform, including our website, applications, and services.
By accessing or using Community Let, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
Community Let provides a marketplace that connects users seeking to book venues with venue owners listing spaces for hire. We are not the owner or operator of the venues listed unless explicitly stated.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms of Service, the following definitions apply:
“Platform”
Refers to the Community Let website, applications, and all associated digital infrastructure, including any subdomains, mobile versions, APIs, and integrations. This includes all content, features, and functionality made available through the Community Let service, whether accessed via desktop, mobile, or other devices.

Refers to any individual or entity that accesses, browses, or uses the Platform in any capacity. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Individuals searching for or booking venues
• Registered account holders
• Venue Owners
• Any person interacting with the Platform’s content or services
Users may be either registered (with an account) or unregistered visitors.

“Venue Owner”
Refers to any User who lists, advertises, or makes a venue, facility, or space available for booking through the Platform. This includes individuals, organisations, schools, businesses, or other entities that:
• Create and manage venue listings
• Set pricing, availability, and booking terms
• Accept or decline booking requests (where applicable)
Venue Owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for fulfilling any confirmed bookings.

“Booking”
Refers to any reservation, request, or confirmed hire of a venue or space made through the Platform. A Booking may include:
• Instant bookings confirmed at the point of payment
• Requests submitted for approval by a Venue Owner
• Recurring or multi-date reservations
A Booking constitutes a binding agreement between the User and the Venue Owner once confirmed, subject to the terms set out in the listing and these Terms of Service.

“Services”
Refers to all products, features, and functionalities provided by Community Let via the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Venue search and discovery tools
• Listing creation and management tools
• Booking and reservation systems
• Payment processing and integrations
• Messaging or communication features
• User accounts and dashboards
• Any additional tools, content, or services introduced from time to time
Services may be updated, modified, or discontinued at our discretion.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Minimum Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age to access or use the Platform or to create an account. By using Community Let, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business, organisation, or other legal entity, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms of Service.

You are responsible for keeping your information up to date at all times. Community Let reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where inaccurate or misleading information is provided.

If you register for an account, you are responsible for:
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities conducted under your account
• Ensuring that your account is used only by authorised individuals

You may not use the Platform if:
• You have previously been suspended or removed from the Platform
• Your use would violate any applicable law or regulation
• You are acting on behalf of a person or entity that is prohibited from using the Services
Community Let reserves the right to refuse access to the Platform or Services at its discretion where eligibility requirements are not met.

We may, at our discretion, carry out verification checks on Users and Venue Owners. This may include requesting additional information to confirm identity, ownership of venues, or compliance with applicable requirements.
Failure to provide requested information may result in restricted access, suspension, or termination of your account.
4. Use of the Platform
4.1 Permitted Use
You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose, which is to search for, list, and book venues in a lawful and legitimate manner.
All use of the Platform must comply with these Terms, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.

4.2 Prohibited Activities
You must not, directly or indirectly:
• Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purpose
• Provide false, inaccurate, or incomplete information
• Attempt to manipulate pricing, availability, or booking outcomes
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the Platform’s booking or payment systems, including arranging bookings outside the Platform after initial contact
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or security of the Platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, accounts, or systems
• Use automated systems, bots, scrapers, or data extraction tools without prior written consent
• Upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Impersonate another person, business, or entity
• Use the Platform in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality or reputation

4.3 Fair Use and Marketplace Integrity
To maintain a fair and trusted marketplace:
• Users must engage with Venue Owners in good faith
• Venue Owners must honour confirmed bookings and advertised terms
• Both parties must avoid conduct that undermines trust in the Platform
Any attempt to bypass the Platform to avoid fees or processes may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.

4.4 Content and Communications
Any content you submit, upload, or share on the Platform, including messages, listings, or descriptions, must:
• Be accurate and not misleading
• Not infringe the rights of any third party
• Not contain offensive, abusive, or unlawful material
Community Let reserves the right to remove or modify content that breaches these requirements.

5. Account Registration
5.1 Account Creation
To access certain features of the Platform, including making bookings or listing venues, you may be required to create an account.
When registering, you agree to:
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Keep your account details updated at all times
• Use your real identity or legitimate business details where applicable
We reserve the right to reject or remove accounts that contain false, misleading, or incomplete information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password.
You agree to:
• Take reasonable steps to protect your login details
• Not share your account with unauthorised individuals

All activity carried out under your account will be treated as your responsibility unless proven otherwise.

Failure to complete verification when requested may result in restricted access, suspension, or removal of your account.

Your account must only be used by you or authorised representatives of your organisation.
You must not:
• Transfer or sell your account to another party
• Create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions or fees
• Use another person’s account without permission

5.6 Suspension and Termination of Accounts
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at any time if:
• You breach these Terms of Service
• You provide false or misleading information
• Your activity poses a risk to other users or the Platform
• You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful behaviour
Where possible, we will notify you of such action, but we may act without notice where necessary.

6. Bookings and Payments
6.1 Booking Process
The Platform enables Users to search for and book venues listed by Venue Owners.
Depending on the listing, a Booking may be:
• Instantly confirmed at the point of payment, or
• Submitted as a request, subject to approval by the Venue Owner
Once a Booking is confirmed, a legally binding agreement is formed directly between the User and the Venue Owner. Community Let is not a party to this agreement.
Users are responsible for reviewing all listing details, including pricing, availability, and any specific terms or conditions, prior to confirming a Booking.

6.2 Payments
Payments for Bookings may be processed through third-party payment providers integrated with the Platform.
By making a payment, you agree that:
• You are authorised to use the selected payment method
• All payment information provided is accurate and complete
• You will pay all applicable charges associated with the Booking
Community Let does not store full payment details and relies on secure third-party providers to process transactions.

6.3 Fees and Charges
The total cost of a Booking may include:
• Venue hire fees set by the Venue Owner
• Platform service fees (where applicable)
• Payment processing fees
All applicable charges will be displayed clearly before a Booking is confirmed.
Community Let reserves the right to introduce or amend fees at its discretion, with reasonable notice where required.

6.4 Pricing and Availability
Venue Owners are solely responsible for:
• Setting and maintaining accurate pricing
• Managing availability and booking schedules
While we take reasonable steps to ensure listings are up to date, Community Let does not guarantee:
• The accuracy of pricing or availability
• That a venue will be available at the time of booking
In the event of an error, the Venue Owner retains the right to cancel or amend the Booking in accordance with their stated terms.

6.5 Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund policies are determined by the Venue Owner and will be outlined within each listing.
By making a Booking, you agree to:
• The specific cancellation terms set by the Venue Owner
• Any applicable refund conditions
Community Let is not responsible for issuing refunds but may facilitate communication between Users and Venue Owners where disputes arise.
Where required by law, refunds will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection regulations.

6.6 Changes to Bookings
Any changes to a confirmed Booking, including:
• Date or time adjustments
• Amendments to duration or requirements
Must be agreed directly between the User and the Venue Owner.
Community Let does not guarantee that changes can be accommodated.

6.7 Failed or Disputed Payments
If a payment is:
• Declined
• Reversed
• Subject to a chargeback or dispute
Community Let reserves the right to:
• Cancel the associated Booking
• Suspend or restrict the User’s account
• Recover any outstanding amounts where applicable
Users agree to cooperate in resolving payment disputes promptly.

6.8 Taxes
Where applicable, prices may include or exclude taxes such as VAT.
Venue Owners are responsible for:
• Determining and applying any applicable taxes
• Complying with tax obligations related to their listings
Users are responsible for paying any taxes associated with their Bookings where required.

6.9 Platform Role in Transactions
Community Let acts solely as an intermediary platform facilitating Bookings between Users and Venue Owners.
We do not:
• Act as an agent for either party
• Guarantee the performance of either party
• Assume responsibility for the fulfilment of Bookings
All contractual obligations relating to the use of a venue remain between the User and the Venue Owner.

6.10 Fraud Prevention and Security
We reserve the right to:
• Monitor transactions for suspicious activity
• Request additional verification for payments or Bookings
• Refuse or cancel Bookings where fraud or misuse is suspected
These measures are in place to protect both Users and Venue Owners.
